By Mubarak Al-Hajri KUWAIT, May 10 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Health said here Sunday that a Bangladeshi passenger was held in Kuwait airport on suspicion of being infected with the swine flu.
Head of the Public Relations Department Faisal Al-Dowsiri told KUNA that the captain of Kuwait airways' flight from New York told ground-control that he suspected that the Bangladeshi female passenger had the disease due to her high blood pressure and sugar level, adding that the medical team at the airport had treated the passenger and she was on her way to Bangladesh.
The Ministry had taken precautionary measures against the swine flu, cooperating with several institutions such as Kuwait General Directorate of Civil Aviation to prevent the presence of swine flu in the country. (end)
