More on the Nepal situation

The unidentified illness that claimed 13 lives in Gumla Village Development Committee of Gorkha district in western Nepal, has been diagnosed to be viral fever bya medical team that flew into the village Thursday. According to myrepublica.com report, the team that included Health Minister Giriraj Mani Pokharel and District Public Health Chief Dr Gunaraj Lohani treated around 70 patients suffering from viral fever, seven of whom are serious in the village, some 75 km west of Kathmandu. The illness had killed 13, including four children, in the last two weeks. The medical team has been instructed to stay in the village till the disease is controlled.
