Swine Flu Diagnosed at Local Military Bases

Updated: May 02, 2009 2:39 PM

Officials are reporting swine flue cases at local military bases.

The U.S. Navy said a sailor at Naval Base San Diego has the illness, but was not hospitalized and has recovered.

At Camp Pendleton, a Marine and a sailor are infected. One is under quarantine in a hospital, and the other is isolated on an outpatient basis.

A Camp Pendleton-based Marine training at Twenty-Nine Palms in San Bernardino County also has the swine flu. That patient, his roommate and 30 others are being quarantined for five days.
