Ministry of Health announced in a statement in 3 / 4 / 2010, for a new human virus (H 5 to 1) causes AIDS "bird flu", bringing the total casualties since the disease appeared in Egypt in 2006 and so far 109 cases.
وأوضحت وزارة الصحة أن المصابة سيدة تبلغ من العمر 18 عاما من "إطسا" بمحافظة الفيوم -صعيد مصر- وحالتها حرجة,حيث دخلت مستشفى حميات الفيوم يوم 31 مارس الماضي وهى تعانى من ارتفاع شديد فى درجة الحرارة وصعوبة فى التنفس وضيق فى الصدر. وذكر البيان أنه تم إعطاء المصابة عقار "تاميفلو" على الفور إلا أن حالتها حرجة وتم تحويلها إلى مستشفى صدر الجيزة. The statement said it was given infected drug "Tamiflu" immediately but in critical condition was transferred to a hospital in Giza.
