Mexico-Health-risk groups urged to immunize

Increased respiratory infections and affect 60% of departments
There is increased reporting of acute respiratory infections in the country, said Ivan Allende, director of the Health Surveillance. "60% of the departments are at epidemic stage.

The confirmed case of influenza B is a seasonal virus, said Allende.

This case involves a young person who comes from Luque, without warning signs, and that does not integrate risk groups, he said.

He noted that predominantly parainfluenza virus 2, which has symptoms very similar to the flu, but not of the same gravity as in children under five years dominated by Respiratory Syncytial Virus, which causes boxes usually known as bronchiolitis and affects younger infants.
