Residents and medical Chicama, Casa Grande, Chocop, Paiján, El Milagro and Chiclín, jurisdictions Ascope, Trujillo, were anxious about the progress of bubonic plague and pneumonic plague that has killed one person in the area.

"We have enough equipment or personnel to deal with an epidemic and it appears that this can occur," said the director of Regional Hospital of Trujillo, Fernando Gil, who in turn said that the disease could be an epidemic.
He explained that it is not known exactly how many people are infected with this disease transmitted by a flea that carries Yersin Pestis bacteria, which causes bumps on the skin and high fever. If pneumonic plague is affecting the lungs and spread more rapidly because it is transmitted by sweat or saliva.
This, he added, considering that it has detected 11 new cases of bubonic plague, a figure that increases to 22 the number of infected people.
