A new case of plague in Ascope

The number of people infected could rise to 29 in La Libertad. Emergency was admitted, presenting symptoms of this plague.

Cases of plague in La Libertad could rise to 29 if the National Institute of Health in Lima confirmed that a man of 32 years, the hamlet of Careaga district of Chocope in Ascope province is infected with the disease. This was announced by Health Manager, Víctor Peralta.

The official said two days ago this patient had high fever, nausea and a bubo in the right groin, so he was taken to Chocope health center, but to contact the staff of Health decided it was Trujillo transferred to the Regional Hospital of the province.

Peralta also reported that a group of specialists, headed by the Chairman of Technical Committee on Pest Control, Pedro Díaz, go to the area to examine whether there are more cases, in order to act immediately to control tasks .

However, Diaz said the outbreak of plague in the La Libertad region, because of rodent flea bites, and is under control. However, it recommended making permanent actions to prevent further cases.

The health authorities questioned the candidate's political movement Contigo Laredo, Javier Rodriguez, warning that 28 thousand people of this district at risk of contracting the epidemic.
