China's Precautions Don't Include The Bali Deaths

[This article brings a bit of clarification. This warning is based upon the World Health Organization's October 10th Report, indicated in bold below. So there alert does not even take in the events in Bali this month.]

Indonesia, the H5N1 deaths in China's warning to staff released

Xinhua Beijing October 25 (Reporter Zhu Liyi) of human infection in Indonesia in view of highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N1) deaths, China's State Administration of Quality Supervision, said spokesman Li Yuanping 25, China is taking measures to strictly prevent the epidemic passed, and the officer to Indonesia cautionary advice.

Li Yuanping said at a regular press conference, said General Administration of Quality Supervision, according to World Health Organization report on October 10, Indonesia confirmed case of human infection of highly pathogenic avian influenza (H5N1) deaths. Directly under the Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine has asked the agency to strengthen temperature screening personnel from Indonesia, medical inspection, etc..

World Health Organization Report on October 6, 2011:
Avian influenza – situation in Indonesia - update 6

10 October 2011 - The Ministry of Health of Indonesia has announced a confirmed case of human infection with avian influenza A(H5N1) virus.

The case is an 1-year old female from West Jakarta district, DKI Jakarta Province. She developed symptoms and was treated at a health care facility on 8 August, and first admitted to a private hospital on 15 August. She died on 25 August.

A family member in the case’s household works as a caterer, frequently processing poultry product, including slaughtering. There were also poultry in the neighbourhood but there were no reports of chicken deaths within the last 14 days.

Laboratory tests have confirmed infection with avian influenza A(H5N1) virus.
