Nagaland imposes ban on poultry from Assam



Kohima, Nov 17 : The Nagaland Government today decided to impose a ban on any type of poultry products from Assam following report of avian flu in some parts of Assam.



According to official sources here, in view of the recent outbreak of avian influenza in Bhamondanga Part-I village block, Agomoni in Dhubri district of Assam, the Nagaland Government decided to impose ban on all sorts of poultry products from the state of Assam to Nagaland with immediate effect as preventive measures till further notice.
It requested all responsible government departments to strictly comply with the government directives, sources said.
