Egypt: «Health»: human cases of bird flu has reached their highest

Ministry of Health announced the high rate of bird flu in Egypt to the highest rates in 2011, and since the discovery of the first cases in 2006.

Dr. Amr Kandil, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Preventive Medicine, the number of injured at 40 people, in addition to 16 deaths, and justified the increase, weak control procedures and precautions to poultry since last January, said «Qandil» that the total number of casualties since 2006, of 154 cases, the percentage of deaths to 35%, indicating that that the lowest mortality of the disease in the world, and said «Qandil» that the positive cases of bird flu, amounting in 2006 to 18 cases, 25 cases in 2007, and 8 cases in 2008, and 13 cases in 2009.

He pointed out that out of 40 cases infected in the world in 2010, Egypt obtained the lion's share of these cases to 23 cases «died, including 10 cases», followed by Indonesia with 8 cases of «died two 7 cases», then Vietnam, with 7 cases of «died two cases», and China, which occurred in two cases and one of them died.
