Vietnam: 2 patients in Kien Giang were negative for influenza A/H5N1 virus #H5N1

National Influenza Center confirmed: The two cases of patients Kien Giang were negative with influenza A/H5N1 virus.
The last few days, the public concerned about information 2 cases in Kien Giang suspected influenza A/H5N1 with continuous high fever above 38C, headache, muscle fatigue.

To clarify the cause of the disease 2 patients, the Center for Preventive Medicine of Kien Giang has sent samples to the National Influenza Center of the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City.

The afternoon of 27/2, Dr. Nguyen Van Binh, director of the Preventive Medicine Department (Ministry of Health) said: The results of the test at 11am 27/2 of the National Influenza Center confirmed: The 2 cases above were negative with influenza A/H5N1 virus. 2 patients are still being treated in hospital in Kien Giang Province.
