Vietnam: Quang Nam: Outbreaks of dengue fever higher than the same period in 2012

According to Quang Nam Department of Health, in the first 5 months of this year, the province does not happen the dangerous diseases such as influenza A H5N1, H7N1 and cholera, but there are some cases of the disease have increased over the same period in 2012.
5 months of this year, with seven districts in the province dengue outbreak with 168 cases of illness, people mac/100.000 rate of 11.2 cases, an increase of 56 cases over the same period in 2012. The health sector has been detected and treated 14 dengue outbreak. Furthermore, some patients also increased over the same period of last year such as hepatitis B (23.2%), mumps (up 40.8%), diarrhea (8.9%) ... There were 2 cases deaths due to streptococcus infection in Dai Loc.According to the authorities, the risk of intrusion and an outbreak of influenza A (H7N9) and influenza A (H5N1) is very high, most likely outbreak of dengue fever, malaria due to hot weather.
Before increasing the risk of disease, has asked the provincial departments, unions concerned to promote the propagation of the province of knowledge to prevent, combat dangerous diseases, hygiene and food safety; faster rapid deployment of emergency measures to prevent the risk of disease outbreaks at risk during hot weather, continue to monitor and prevent influenza A (H7N9) and influenza A (H5N1), all plans dynamic handling, control and stamping out if the outbreak.
